Technology, and specifically apps, have taken over the workplace and our lives as we know it.
Apps are a very useful tool in today’s world of business, and a great way to get started as an entrepreneur! From increasing efficiency to gaining customers, the possibilities are endless!
We’ve done the research and below is what we recommend:
Evernote is a popular app that allows for you to write and store notes, with the added ability to access them from anywhere. The app allows for you to record audio notes, insert pictures, and web screenshots directly in Evernote. It always is a great way to collaborate with your team from anywhere, increasing productivity.
Dropbox is a well-known program on the desktop, but is also available in app form! Dropbox allows you to remotely store your documents, photos, videos and other files. You can also edit and review documents easily, with the option to share and even collaborate with other team members. We use Dropbox here in our office to share big files with our clients, files that we would otherwise be unable to send. It’s as easy as copy and pastes a link!
Skype is one of the world's most popular communication software, allowing for users to make free calls over wifi, use paid credits to call landlines and instant message others in the app. It’s a great, low-cost option for your business, that promotes easy collaboration with team members and easy access
Buffer is arguably the best app on the market when it comes to social media posting across all the major platforms. It allows users to easily schedule posts, which makes your business online presence a lot simpler. At Blueprint, we use Buffer to schedule our own posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This allows us to keep you guys informed on what we’re up to.
Being an entrepreneur in most cases comes with a lot of travel. TripIt allows for you to easily manage your travel plans by simply forwarding your confirmation emails to a singular email address. TripIt offers free and paid plans, both of which offer a load of features. It’s a great way to get up-to-date notifications on flights, and hotel reservations. Definitely helpful when you’re trying to juggle confirmation emails and your day-to-day all at once.
You probably have been living under a rock if you haven't heard of Uber. Uber is the industry leader in ride sharing programs. It’s an easy way to save a lot of money on transportation when traveling, plus it can all be booked from your smartphone. We speak from experience, Uber is a must have for any traveler!
