Modern Sales Co-op is a Canadian co-operative automotive aftermarket company with more than 300 members from coast to coast with distribution centres in Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia.
Modern Sales uses a portal to communicate with member organizations and vendors. It is also used for news and announcements, discussion forums, pricing, discount and product information. There is also a ticketing system, email list management, event registration, CRM, VRM and a Directors Portal. The site also allows for online purchases amongst members.
When we developed their new intranet, we integrated multiple in-house systems that stored information in more than 300 different tables into a seamless operations system. That included working with Modern Sales staff to develop an entirely new navigation and hierarchy and converting a very complex granular user permissions system to a role-based system, allowing user permissions to be managed much more efficiently.
Since the initial launch, we have now also developed an Inventory Returns System that is integrated into Modern Sales’ accounting and inventory systems.
